We currently use Phosphoric Acid to help reduce scale in our CIP tanks. Our current dosing is about 2-4% wt once a week. Does anybody no were I could find a resource to make sure that this is the correct dosing for phosphoric acid cleaning solution.

Has scale been observed in your tanks?

If yes, then you probably should increase the dosing. Also, depending on your application you may consider a softener upstream of the CIP.

If no, then you may consider decreasing the dosing until scale forms and then increase it just above that point. This should be optimal between scale formation and dosing cost control.
