Chromic acid based deoxidizer/desmutter

Hi!

I am looking for a chromic acid based deoxidizer/desmutter formula. The Wernick, Pinner and Sheasby book has a guide. My old man had a copy laying around but just like most things in life; when you are looking for something, it's never there, but when you don't need it, you trip over it all the time.

You do know how hazardous this formulation (hexavailent Cr) is considered these days?

In college chem lab (mid 70's) every student had a bottle of chromic acid cleaner for glassware. It was prepared by dissolving potassium dichromate in sulfuric acid.
