I am just finishing my BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree which I am expecting to achieve a first class. after my degree I want to move onto a masters, however I am unsure which course to take and looking for some advice. I would like to have done aeronautical engineering however the university near me do not do that course. but I am interested in some others but having to experiment in most I don't want to make a impulsive choice.
the most obvious would be to do mechanical engineering masters. but with having a degree in that im not sure if it better to specialise in another type. the ones I am interested in are:

Biomedical engineering
sustainable chemical engineering
Mechanical engineering
Renewable Energy, Enterprise and Management (REEM) MSc

if anyone could give me some advice on these. also if I do choose one of them. would that limit me from moving into another field in the future such as aeronautical jobs

Move locations, live in the dorms, etc. If you don't go after what you want, you'll spend the next phase of your life wondering "what if". Sometimes happy accidents occur, and some here will say their careers didn't go in the direction they expected (and are happier for it), but why start off on the wrong foot and cross your fingers?

what is it within aero engineering that you are drawn to?

There is a lot of overlap with mechanical engineering in several areas, such as controls/optimization, structures/materials, propulsions, etc.

I'd recommend clearly defining what you are interested in, and only then looking for the overlap with one of these other disciplines - if you want to compromise.

Or, as Dan said, change locations. It's going to be much easier landing a job doing a certain thing when you already have experience doing that.
