Dear sirs:

I've been estimating chilled water cooling coil "delta P", finding very diffferent values among common manufacturers ( DataAire (45 ft H2O), Liebert (10 ft), , APC(20 ft). for the similar equipment

Do you have a rough or practical standard value?

Regards,

schola

I would consider 10 mormal, 15 is getting high.

Take the "V" out of HVAC and you are left with a HAC(k) job.

5 psi or 10 ft is our usual allowance in absence of submittal data

The above replies are noraml ranges of DP. But the DP can be different depending on the Cv and the flow rate. You can use the : Q= Cv sqrt(DP) equation to calculate any DP and flow rate Q, if you know the Cv of the equipment.

Remember, the higher the DP, the higher you have to pay in energy for pumping the fluid through the equipment.
