Does any one know the chemical reaction of alumina(Al2O3)
and carbon with water then with acetone.

May i know the final product of these two reactions

Thanks

Al2O3 is one of the most inert materials. It does not react with water but in powdered form adsorb moisture.
Carbon does not react with water; however in a form of powder it adsorb moisture. So not much will happen in a mixture of Al2O3, water, carbon and acetone at least at temperature where water is present(under 100degC).Could you be more specific?

Thanks m777182 (Chemical)

I mean alumina fiber and carbon fiber with water and acetone seperately.

I have another question, some chemicals like silica colloidal, sodium dodecylbenzene and cationic polyacrylamide add with water.

what is the reaction and whether the mode addition into the water will affect the chemical reaction.

Thanks

Excuse me, questions of this nature may prompt some dumb minds like me to red flag, mistaking them for some kind of cryptic processes to make bombs or similar kind of things that can cause destruction.

I advise you to be specific so that you can get benefited by the wise souls of this forum.

mechnano,

"I mean alumina fiber and carbon fiber with water and acetone seperately."

Does this mean:

alumina fiber and carbon fiber with water OR alumina fiber and carbon fiber with acetone

OR

alumina fiber with water and acetone OR carbon fiber with water and acetone

Good luck,
Latexman
