I have a chemical injection diffuser located approximately 90 feet upstream of a tee. Main is 36" DI and diffuser is 1.5" diameter with tip located at center of main cross section. I need to check for complete mixing of chemical (90-95%)before the flow branches off. The injection is an aqueous solution, so this can be considered water/water mixing at same temperatures. Reynold's # for main flow is at least 4.2x10^5.

Does anyone have a good method or empirical data for calculating the mixing length in a pipeline?
