Hello everyone,

Can any one please advise me, what is the best chemical I can use for the cleaning of the Power Transformer winding, the idea is to use this chemical with high pressure cleaning machine. I would assume that it could be some sort of non polar solvent chemical.
Thanks,
Samer

Perchloroethylene or Tetrachloroethylene were the go to cleaners for electric items. They're non-conductive and non-flammable. There also non-environmentally friendly. Check local regulations.

Thanks for your answer, is these cleaners are safe fir winding wires coated with Varnish? I mean is not dissolve the varnish coating of the winding wire or paper insulation?

Thanks again for sharing your experience!

It is my understanding that it is safe for exposure to most plastics and varnishes in the short term. I don't suggest soaking components in it. It is not safe for exposure to polycarbonate plastic. It is not safe for you exposure to humans.
