In a demo for Mold Wizard they changed the color of sheets from one direction only. This allowed the operator to see if there was any undercuts. Can this be done quickly without Mold Wizard?
Thanks,
david

You can get a "range" of slopes using Analysis -> Face analysis & specifying the type of face analysis (slope, I believe) and draw direction. There should be plenty of info to get you started in the documentation.

Hi David,

If you have license for shape studio, you can use analysis draft command. This will give you a very good visualization of the surfaces in specified colours. You can use a slide bar to check the angle, parting edges etc..You can also rotate the UCS to different directions to varify the undercuts.

This looks vaguely familiar...

I would also recommend the face analysis (slope). I work with a lot of injection molded parts and that is what we use to check draft.

There is a tool, which I believe was added around NX2.0.1 (I am running NX2.0.4.2), called Molded Part Validation. I'm not sure which license option you need to access it though. It is found under Analysis...
It was taken from Mold Wizard and packaged with UG, because it does exactly what you are trying to do, and is found to be extremely useful.
