It's unfortunate, however, that you're limited to a very narrow bandwidth. An inexpensive analyzer that would cover 0-2.4GHz would be freakin' sweet!

The chips used for 802.11 and 802.15.4 have the capibility to measure the noise and signals in the channels defined by these standards as a means of selecting the best channel. Looks like someone decided to use one of these chips just for that inbuilt function to make a simple spectrum analyzer.
 
I can see that coming in very handy for anyone setting up lots of WiFi networks. Not a bad price either! Should sell a few thousand!
