hi, can someone assist me with the calculation of the charging currents for an XLPE submarine cable? The idea is to supply 30MM 0.9 pf AC power to the oil & gas offshore platform which is 150km away from the shore using a 80kV 3-core 400mm2 (let's say) submarine cable. I understand this may not be a good idea. How much MVar this submarine cable will produce per km? I'm interested in finding out the potential voltage rise at the offshore substation. Any documents or links associated with this topic will be grealy appreciated.

Thanks,
