We have a orifice plate that connect to a rosemount differencial pressure transmitter, setup as follows,

Transmitter is configuered as follows,

Zero » 78mmWC » 0m3 » 4mA
and Span » 7248 mmWC » 4000m3/hr» 20mA

I want to increase the span to 5000m3/hr for using the same orifice. Is this possible ?

Regards

Yes.

You don't normally want to exceed 10000mm (1 bar) but you need to amend the control system accordingly.

Work out what the dp is at 5000 and reset the spam accordingly.

Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

You might also need to change the bore of the plate.
