What I'm trying to do (IV 2010 Pro) is switch the orientation of the positive xy plane. You know, the old 'change the plus to minus and minus to plus' as the guy said to his buddy after blowing up his dead battery :)

I'm modeling a complicated plastic part and I'm trying to avoid creating a work plane. Lazy me...

You cannot change this. It is locked this way. User Work Planes can have their Normal Flipped but not the Origin Features.

Thanks mflayer. I saw a video on Youtube from an Autodesk expert and he showed how to change the orientation of a plane vis a vis flipping but now that you mention it, it was not an origin plane. Thanks for the info. I'll just muddle along. BTW, can you help and guide me to a site that shows how to do 3d surfaces/solids in INV? I'm having a heck of a time trying to get info on that stuff. Keep in mind that I was in 3d AutoCAD for mucho years before I switched to INV. I'm not set in my ways, I just want to be able to tell my grandchildren that 'yea, I can do that' :)

Again, thanks.

Andy
