Change in Custom BOM_Format Option?

A while back I had the need to create a custom BOM output. Now that the need has come back, the methods referenced in the linked thread don't seem to work anymore.

Have there been changes to this option in WF4? I can't seem to find anything in the help to indicate the format of the file has changed.
