chain hoist support frame

slightly different question. we have a number of small chain hoist (these are rated) ,these are fixed to small structural frames throughout our facility. Were concerned that the hoist rating could exceed the load capacity of the support frame. I've been to OSHA site, can't seem to find a F.S. that address at support frame for hoist.we can check the structual capacity of the frames by design code criteria but we are looking for a F.S. associated with lifting frames I don't feel that lifting or spreader beam apply. These hoist do not lift personnel only small equipment loads.

Use the standard factors of safety in the AISC and ACI codes. You have to add a impact factor to the load. In the AISC ASD 9th edition its' section A4.2. In the 13th edition its' section B2 which kicks you back to the local building code (usually IBC) or ASCE-7.
