Hi,

I have some problems with postproccesing in Ansys.
In CFD (3D turbulent model k-E) I get velocity, pressure
and pressure coefficient distribution.

Question:
-Is it possible to get average value of V,P,PCOE in Ansys
on the selected surface? If yes, how?
-How can I plot results as isolines on surface?

Thanks,

Robert

hi robert,

concerning ur question...i can`t help u with CFX but for all questions u mentioned, you will find answers through FLUENT. There, under "Area weighted residual average" option..u will find everything u needed.
good luck.

regards,
krishi

Hi Krishi,

I´m sorry, but I don´t understand what you
mentioned above.
Where can I find Fluent(I tried it in Ansys Help)?
Maybe I don´t have this material.

Thanks,

Robert

robert,
i thought u know CFD softwares...thtz y i just mentioned FLUENT..FLUENT is not a part in ANSYS..it is separate CFD s/w package...actually...what u r working now is CFX(ANSYS based CFD)and there are other s/w in CFD are FLUENT, STAR CD, etc..FLUENT is also one of the famous CFD analysis tool and u can work with windows OS through its GUI interface. And the draw back of the FLUENT is the pre processor, i.e GAMBIT...but however u can model and mesh ur task in any other pre processor and u can analyse it in FLUENT. And the all questions u mentioned, i am sure u will find the answers in FLUENT post processer..i hope u understand now..

regards,
krishi

Krishi,

First of all thanks you for your comments,
I will read the manual of it. In our firm
we have only Ansys, so I don´t know other CFD
software packages.

Thanks,

Robert
