Hi,
I would need to make some basics FEA simulations.
(Wind effort on a solid body)

I'm wondering if it's possible to get rough prices of
principal packages
- Ansys + CFX
- CFDesign (now from Autodesk)
- Floefd (mentor)
- anything else ?

Thanks for any information,
GB

Get out your checkbook. Most of these run updards of $25k per license, plus annual maintenance.

You can go the leasing route and just lease for the
period of the job. Cheaper short term but pretty stupid
long term.

Would also encourage you to use the packages under the
free evaluation trials. You can usually get a simple job
done and you will get help using it. Try a couple of
different packages - we used FloEFD and CFDesign and got
very different results on the same problem :(

I cant over emphasise the need to validate the results -
dont believe the marketing on this its bullsh*t.
