You can perform all machining operations on CF8M castings with relative ease. The first cut to remove the skin layer is slow but subsequent machining poses no problem.All operations like drilling,boring,threading, tapping, grinding etc can be performed. If you worked with 304 material CF8M should not pose any problem.
