Hi,

Can you give me the definition of the word RETAINERS according code ASME IX ?
I am not sure that the Ceramic material is a type of RETAINERS.
Also the Ceraimic can be used for GTAW or FCAW for root pass as a type of RETAINERS, if then it can be specified in
WPS as a Reatiners?

Yes, ceramic is a retainer. See Section IX, QW/QB-492 for definitions.
