Ceramic coated pressure vessel

We are trying to figure out how to design a vessel for superheated steam. 125psi, steam temp. 2000F. We are planing to use Carbon steel with ceramic AL2O3 lining. I have no experience on ceramic and high temp. vessel design. Please give advise to help me start.

Al203 has a low CTE whereas Carbon steel has a high CTE. I would expect the ceramic to crack from tensile stresses induced by the expanding steel at temperatures well below 2000F not to mention the stress from steam pressure.

Depending upon the size of your vessel and cost allowance, you might consider using an alloy with a closer CTE match such as Kovar or Invar to replace the steel.

Why ceramic lined?
I agree, this sounds very problematic.
You could look at the rules used for design of glass lined vessels.
