Cement rendered floor with Titanium finish

Folks,
I am currently constructing my own house. I am thinking of having a cement rendered floor with Titanium finish. The common problem of this is hairline cracks. How can we control these cracks? Even after 5 days water ponding, cracks might appear, contractor says. What are the precautionary measures to minimize these cracks?

cracks on cement floor is usual because concrete tends to expand and contract on temperature changes.

1 ponding or install jut sacks is one way to control cracks.
2 you could also install small grooves on the flooring to control the area of cracking.
3 the thickness of the flooring is also a consideration. Too thin or too thick slab are more prone to cracks.
4 If your flooring is resting on the ground, better make sure it well compacted before placing concrete.
5. if it is suspended ample shoring should be studied. Shoring generally should not be removed unless its designed strength has not yet been attained.
6. I think the best way to avoid crack is by using anothe material on top of the concrete with low resistance to temperature change such as wood.
