Help needed. I have seen excel sheets with

1-complete columns/rows locked out. i.e. columns A to H, completely out of screen, and cannot be moved or seen.

2-Imported autocad dwgs frozen, cannot be moved, deleted or modified

3-Selected cells protected

In short, cannot do much other than changing input data

How do I get the knowledge to do these wonderful stuff

Thanks

Look up cell / worktab / worksheet protection in the Excel help menu. Look up hiding rows / colums...

i will assume that the spreadsheet in question is NOT to be tampered with nor have changes made.

if you are going to learn, recommend that a back-up copy of original file be made and you then experiment with backed-up copy.

overall, the worksheet and/or workbook are likely protected.

1 - these columns are likely hidden. - unhide the columns

2 - worksheet/workbook is protected - unprotect the worksheet/workbook. u must know password to unprotect.

3 - selected cells protected from input or change. change the formatting of selected cells to unprotect. again, u must know password to unprotect.
