Hello Everyone, I'm about to do a Soaked CBR on clay soils and I have no idea about it. I'm doing it for the first time and I've been told to do it at optimum moisture. Does that mean I should do a Standard Proctor to Determine the optimum moisture and then do the CBR test? I don't even know if my Question makes sense, Plz help

Will this be done for a roadway that has a significant amount of subgrade that is at natural, uncompacted condition? If so, I'd use the average natural condition of density from the job site. That would be on the conservative side.

Do your Proctor in the CBR molds and plot both the Proctor curve and the CBR curve, one over the other, with the commonality being the moisture content.....y-axis is max dry density and CBR value and x-axis for both is moisture content.
