Catia V4 on Sun Blade 2000

I just have rec'd a Blade system to update our old SGI system. I have gotten different media from Catia for sun and rec'd the new codes for this box. I looked at the system and its on Solaris 9 already, and the site says Solaris 8, Do I need to load 8? or is that just the minimum?

Also gnome is loaded. What X-windows do I need to load..

I have several calls in, but nothing yet. I want to get it rolling
