Hi All,

I've been asked to produce a large pictorial BOM for the several components, most of these are surface models, some are solid. The total file size for the 3d data is 470Mb. Does anyone know the best practice for producing a drawing of this size. My thoughts were to open the files in passive and create a drawing using Auxview1. The machine is AIX, with 1Gb of ram.

Thanks,

Darren

Hi,

In the case of error-messages in Catia like e.g. “insufficient model size” it is possible to get more detailed information via Help / Getting Help (upper right corner in Catia). In case of problems with the memory-settings there probably will be a suggestion with the needed values.

Good luck (you will need, because I'm afraid that your machine has not so much memory to help you in this task).

Regards
Fernando
