I don't even need to look at your imported CATIA part file to know what the problem is. The fact that the file is NOT a native Pro/E file is the cause of your problems.

You will NOT be able to obtain any of the following:
1. No view names to show
2. No way to edit existing model dimensions
3. No way to show model dimensions on a drawing
4. No way to view part/assembly parameters

You will however be able to turn your imported CATIA file into a solid using import data doctor (if it did not already import as a solid model at translation time). Once you have a solid model, you can add protrusions and cuts. You can create any new parameters you desire.

Basically, your CATIA model will come into Pro/E as a dumb solid (or surface model). The ONLY thing that will remain constant is the csys of the base model. It will import into a Pro/E assembly at the csys without a problem.

If you use option Use Templates in Import Dialog box you will get defined views from your start template plus standard datum planes and so on.
