catia plant layout 1

has anyone had any success with the catia plant layout package?

my company is looking to re-map their floor layout to improve with resource tracking and workflow...could be a big project ~150,000 sq feet...split almost in half by office and manufacturing space...

sure dont want to do it in autoscrape, looking for input

From the little experience I have with it, it's alot of work to create the 3D model of the entire plant. Much more than just 2D floorplans. Especially when you add-in the piping, HVAC, electrial to your structure.

The big payback comes if you do alot of renovation work to change assembly lines.

I'm not sure how it works with DELMIA, but would suspect there would be more benefit there.
