Anyone know how I can take a 3D mesh from UG or CATIA to STAAD.pro? I have solid elements and 2D quad elements to bring in, but STAAD only reads in DXF. They have this OpenSTAAD thing, but not too sure what to do with it.

You can. Export the file to a 3D DXF file and then bring it into STAAD. Alternatively, you can write a macro in Excel using OpenSTAAD that converts the CATIA text file to a STAAD file. That will require a little more work.
