Hi,

I've just started Catia (used to using AutoCAD and Solidworks).

I'm trying to quickly build a fairly accurate 3D shape of a tool based on the 2D drawings I have.

I'd like to import the three 2D drawings I have on to the xy-plane, yz-plane an zx-plane. I'll then pad the xy-plane sketch to be oversized, then reverse pocket the remaining two planes. This should build a pretty accurate 3D model of the tool...

HOWEVER, I'm getting stuck at the first hurdle and can't figure out how to snap the 3 sketches to align with each other! I have a reference point to snap to on each drawing. My plan was to snap them to the center xyz point, but I can't even do that.

I'm certain there's a simple solution. Please Help!

Files below:

open all dxf files and copy them to part. use change sketch support to align every dxf to its plane. now you can edit sketch and constrain/translate entities as you wish.
