Dear colleagues what is the applicable standard practice to assess casting grade or check the quality of casting? There are a number of NDT methods such as UT or RT among others. Since the parts are used in continuous production, test cost and duration are important considerations. What methods could more accurately detect defects such as porosity in cast parts while keeping costs and testing time reasonable?
