I am looking for info regarding the best way to send low pressure vaporized propane into a gasoline carb. Has anybody here made a clever part to connect the vaporizer to the venturi?

What needs to be clever about. It normally comes in the kit and is a piece of pipe of appropriate size.

Kits I've seen for my generator are a regulator and a tube that sticks into the venturi. I think some of the kits replace the carb completely if you never plan on using gasoline again.

Check Google for small engine conversion kits. There are three basic conversion methods, a drilled in spud (the method you describe), an add on venturi, and a total replacement. I have several running with the add on venturi.
