A ladle analysis is a chemical analysis representative of the heat of material in the ladle, prior to pouring. It is common to evaluate three samples prior to pouring the heat.

I believe check analysis is a chemical analysis obtained for each separate heat or multiple lots that are poured from the ladle.

Check analyses are made on actual product forms produced from the heat(s).
