So I have this crazy lookin polygon thing that i drew in 3d space. However, when i try to extrude the face, it doesn't work. I am trying to subtract it from another three dimensional solid and i've been stuck at this point for a while.

Any recommendations??

Still seems far to complex for such a little feature. You do know you can copy sketches from one part to another? You could have made your sketch in the one part and copied it to your other part if that was problem. But placing a part into another part and subtracting it is going to make the file far larger (MB) then you will probably want. Not a big deal when its a small file, but as your complexity grows so does your file size. KISS "Keeping it simple stupid" is your best policy when your dealing with complexity.

I'll keep that in mind. However, as long as the manufacturer can make the part from the file, I'll be happy. I have one more part to do in solid works and then it'll be prototyping time...
