Not really sure where to put this. Been using Draftsight for a while. I updated from 16 to 17 and something strange has happened, I can't delete entities by highlighting and pressing Delete. All that happens is the highlight goes away but the lines are still there. Any ideas?

I'd try either PICKFIRST or PICKADD or whatever the AutoCAD equivalent command is in DraftSight.
I think these are the equivalent commands in DraftSight:
ENBLENTSELPRESEL
SETENTSELADD
Set each to a value of "1".
