Typically during the design process, and while in the Assembly Environment I like to switch the view to Isometric and print the model as it appears. I used to be able to do this but all of a sudden I'm not. This happens ONLY in Inventor and with EVERY printer that I use. It even happens with printing to a PDF. Can someone give me an idea how to restore the ability to print the model/assembly view?

Can you be more specific? What is it doing/not doing? Will it say it is printing and then nothing happens or are you getting an error? What are your system specs? what version of Inventor are you using? Have you installed any new software recently?

David

Just a note here. The problem seems to have cleared up after I re-installed SP2 (Inventor). I have no idea what corrupted the printer drivers so that only Inventor would get this error. But re-installing the service pack seems to have fixed it.

Had you just recently installed Sp2? What release of Inventor? Was your virus scanner disabled when you installed?

David

I'm using Inventor 2008. SP2 was installed several months ago. I have no idea if the virus scanned was disabled. I'm going to assume that it was not since you need administrative rights (which I don't have) to disable it.

Installing Inventor with a virus scanner active has been shown to have unpredictable and sometimes debilitating results. This may have been one of those results.
