Cannot constrain sketch to another component within an assembly

In Catia, you can use other components within an assembly using the "Intersect 3D Elements" tool to constrain sketches to. I'm having trouble doing that in NX 9 with the "Intersect" tool. When I try to constrain a circle to an "Intersect" circle I created from a bolt, it won't let me pick the "Intersect" circle. Any way of overcoming this?

Is your Selection Scope pulldown set to Entire Assembly while in Sketch mode?
