Can you see the original deform component shape in assembly?

I have a deformable o-ring seal in an assembly. In my assembly I also have the exact cross sectional shape I want it to deform to. If I modify the assembly to the point where I need a different sized o-ring I would not be able to know it. It will always be modeled to the correct size even if the o ring is 3 inches or 4 inches in diameter. I know can see the undeformed shape by going into the o-ring part, but then I don't have a size relation to other components in my assembly.

I will add a HOC requirement to let me know, but it would be nice if there would be a way to simply toggle the deformed part and the orginal part in the main assembly.

You could add the Component a Second time and if the deformation is based on parameters just use the original default values and if it requires some reference geometry, just pick something which will result in an error. Just accept this and the original shape will be loaded, albeit, tagged as a failed feature but that's OK you're only going to use the solid body for reference anyway and it's still OK, it's just the 'Deform' feature which has been lost. Now you will have both a deformed and undeformed version of the Component and when you no longer need to see the undeformed one, simple 'suppress' it.

Well you pointed me in a better direction. I decided to add another body to the o ring that was not deformed. Then created a reference set for the deformed body and the undeformed body. That way it I wouldn't have to modify any parts lists.
