can you add acceleration in more than one direction in COSMOSWorks?

Hello all,

Hope all is great.

Is there a way to add acceleration in more than one direction in COSMOSWorks? For example, you have a car that is driving and you have to slam on the brakes. You would have gravity going downwards, but also the deceleration going along in a different direction.

You can apply several forces in many directions but you cannot apply a rate of change to the force.

Let me rephrase, can you add gravity in more than one direction? For example can you have gravity going along the Y axis, and another gravity (for g-acceleration) along the X axis at the same time. I heard you can, but not sure how to do this.

Yes. In the GeoStar environment, use the "acel" command. In the SolidWorks environment, set up your study, right click on "loads" and choose gravity. Choose your reference plane, then enter the value of the acceleration in any of the three directions relative to the reference plane.
