Can we move the pump or motor with lubricant oil inside the bearings?

Greeting All,

Can someone enhance my information that why vendor usually ships the pump without lubricant oil?
Is it of any safety concern?
Please enhance my understanding by some concrete reason?

Shipping rules. If they ship with oil then it must be packaged and labeled as if it was an oil container. So to keep life easy they ship dry.

But is there any also technical reason for not pouring lubricant oil? Because during transportation, pressure changes so frequently, does that pressure change has also effect?

Response from EdStainless is spot on. Oil can be transported only in properly packaged containers, according to the shipping regulations in force.

Another technical reason is that you will probably want to assess cleanliness of the lube oil system before the equipment is commissioned. It is impossible to perform inspection and flushing of a system that is filled with oil. Unless you drain the oil, which brings you back to square one. Secondly, the oil itself can get contaminated if the lube oil system has not been properly cleaned.

During transportation, sloshing can also be occur? will that sloshing can damage the bearings of pump or sump of pump?

I don't see how things will be damaged by sloshing or leakage of the oil, but it will be a mess.
And the when re-installed people may assume that there is oil in it (because it is dripping all over) when there is not enough.
