can anybody verify this? can we get the zero warpage in curvature surfaces for 2D elements. i have tried a lot in HYPERMESH and FEMAP but in vain.

i think you can on a cyclindrical surface, but not on any generally curved surface ... three points define a plane , the 4th is constrained to the modelled surface and will almost always be off the plane and so it warps the elements ... but this should be controlable to be within the element's tolerance.

i have another question in regard to warpage, is there any solver and/or type of analysis which fails due to non-zero warpage value?

My comment: as far as my knowledge is concerned, almost all the solvers give the tolerance of 10 degrees on warpage.

there Could be ...

do you have a particular solver in mind ?

i'd be surprised if a solver failed "just" because the elements were slightly warped. usually the problem is that the solver doesn't fail even when the elements are excessively warped.
