Can Solidworks directly open a .JT file?

I have several .JT files that were exported from UGS TeamCenter VisMockup. Unfortunately Vismockup failed to export the files as stp and I could only get JT files. Will Solidworks 2006 or 2008 open these JT files directly. I'd much rather not use a 3rd party translation software.

Failing that, is there a plugin I can download and install for free?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Chris,

check out actify. www.actify.com. They have a cad importer for the jt file format as well as most others. They also have a trial version.

Good Luck,
