Can 20 and 24 dimensions be basic?

On a similar shape, I would like to control the all around shape with all around profile (with basic 20, basic 24, basic R7), but I don’t know if 20 and 24 can be used as basic dimensioned from the theoretical sharp? I guess it could.

Anything that forbid this approach?

Fig 4.7 looks similar, but does not have the all around profile I am looking for to use.

greenimi,

As long as you can work out where the radii are...

Figure[ ]1.24 shows good dimensioning practice, that basic dimensions support effectively. Dimension to the hypothetical sharp corner. This shows off the geometry of the flat faces, which probably is more important than the location of the radii.
