Can one assign BCs on mesh nodes? if yes. How ?

Some BCSs like hydrostatic pore pressure must be assigned on mesh nodes How can I prescribe BCs on mesh nodes . Do I have to make it orphan mesh in order to do so

Pressures and so on are prescribed to surfaces and hence to element faces on the mesh when the input file is created.

Pore Pressure (P.P) BCs are different from normal pressure BCs,as applying P.P BC will imply not only pressure force but also seepage (flow)iduction within the system
I did not find any indication in the Documentation showing that ABAQUS can apply hydrostatic pore pressure on a surface or edge....
Please let me know if you did
