Can not save view in part mode

Morning all,

After I have oriented the part the way I want, I want to save it as a view and the save option in "reorient view" is not hilited or available. I would then choose this view in my drawing to place as a general view. Why is the save option NOT availabe? I have never seen this before. WF 3.0.

Is the part an instance? You can only save views in a generic.

To save the view orientation. You go to View tab > Manage Views. Or on the small toolbar press View Manager.

In the View Manager. Click on Orient tab. Rotate your part to position. Click New to create/save the view orientation. After that, go to your drawing, right click and load the new view.
