Flowseal high performance butterfly valve trims:

Seat: RPTFE
Disc: 316
Shaft: 17-4PH
Body: WCB (ANSI 150CLASS)

Is there any risk to use the valve for oil service?

Thanks

The only one source able to give you a verified answer for th whole construction is the valve producer. You have to provide the full flow details. In addition to pressure, temperature, operational modes and variations, and chemical properties a layout sketch could be interesting for the purpose.

Apart from this: there are temperature limits and some chemical limits to RPTFE (but far above EPDM, for instance), so given operation within general valve and sealing limits, the answer is probably yes.

Thanks Gerhardl.
