We have a 30" ball valve on site which when trying to install had some minor damage to the drain pipe and vent pipe. Would it be permissible to repair these items and still retain the valve warrenty- insurance.

What does the supplier and factory say?

This is obviously a minor damage, BUT :

As supplier (but not of Cameron) of a certified valve we would at least have required a full documentation of damage, procedure and plan for repair, asked producer if this was acceptable, and required a full documented report of repair, report and if required repair done by a party acceptable to us and factory.

Conclusion: only the party issuing a warranty can say anything about continued warranty if there is damage to the product and the product is repaired (Such is the world.....)
