Cam creation in Inventor 7/8 1

Cam Creation

Hi can anybody guide me in the creation of cams. The cam has to rise in a radial motion, whilst traveling in a radial direction (diferent axis tho, x,y). Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Try these guys.

I tried the 30 day demo (which works great with IV) and made a couple gears. Works pretty neat, but the wormgear I produced was a huge file (helical coil cuts arrayed around an axis add up very fast)

It looks like it would do what you need. Add-on is called geartrax.
