Calendar update

Changing the project calendar (in this case adding the Saturdays as working days) isn't followed to an automatic Gannt update (the new working days appears always as non working days and the activities that cross it are shifted/splitted to the next Monday).
What is the way to update?

Ditto is for an activity that doesn't use human resources but only an automatic equipment that can be operated along the 24 hrs: setting his own caldendar to 24 hrs type doesn't changes the split of the activity in two days.
How to solve?

Make sure the activity is using the same calendar that the one you are modifying. Some times you modify one calendar, but the activity has another assigned, so it does not update.
