Hi All
One of the governing criteria for the design of high rise structure is the Human Comfort Criteria for wind induced acceleration. ISO 10137 provide indications on the recommended lateral acceleration.
At the moment I'm calculating acceleration with a spreadsheet that i made which is based on frequency and lateral deflection.
As far as I know ETABS doesn't provide lateral acceleration in milli g. If ETABS would be perform this calculation it would be extremely handy.
Do you know if the new etabs can do this or if there is a way to work out acceleration directly from ETABS?
Thanks
