Calculating Steel Stamped Parts

I'm looking for the best way to calculate the dimension ofa part that is to be Die Stamped. I am trying to find what the over all length of the part is when its flat. Below is a screen shot of the part after its stamped. I was thinking the sheet metal program can flatten out a part, but not sure if it would work with 3.125mm thick (I have little experence with the sheet metal program on pro-e). You don't need sheetmetal to calculate the blank length. The length can be calculated easily enough. Measure from the bottom of the part to the tangent of the SMALLER radius above the rectangular slot. The arc length can be calculated as follows: Arc Radius x Total Angle x Sin 1
 
I would not use a calculation to figure out flat size (girth).
The reason is, if you modify the part, especially adding bends, then
you need to adjust the calculation to include the new geomtry. We
have a few models that someone calculated the girth by adding up the
bends and flats to calculate, and when you modify the part, it is
incorrect until you redo the calculation.



If you have the sheet metal module, then take advantage of it.
This is the most accurate way to determine girth. However, I
enjoyed reading this post as graberic explains how to do it without
unbending.
