Calculating Spring Stiffness for Bolts

hi,

i wanted to use DOF Springs in Nastran for Windows and was wondering what sort of methods people use to caluclate the stiffness values for the springs.

i have heard reference to a Vlieger-Broek method (?) but unable to find anything on the web.

appreciate your help
